The Sex Ed you Needed Growing Up

No shame. No stigma. Just honest, empowering education about bodies, pleasure, and health.

Our Story

Cliterally The Best started because I was tired of the same old narrative around sexual health.

You know the one. Sex education that’s either so clinical you need a medical degree to decipher, or so full of shame that you’d rather google your symptoms at 2am than ask for help.

I believe everyone deserves judgement free, accurate, inclusive and colourful information about their sexual health and pleasure. Whether you’re figuring things out for the first time or you already know your sh*t, you deserve resources that speak to you like the capable human you are.

So I took my love of illustration, mixed it with my background in marketing and psychosexual therapy, and built a space where you can learn, explore and get real answers. No awkwardness, no shame, and no outdated advice.

Fumble

Fumble began in 2017 when a group of young volunteers came together to tackle a root cause of gendered violence: the lack of relationships and sex education addressing the challenges young people face in the digital age.

The Porn Conversation

Without proper support, porn has become the new sex ed. With today’s online culture, we can’t stop young people from seeing sexualised content, but we can teach them to understand it.

This project was created to give families free, accessible tools to start these conversations, beginning with porn literacy.

Recent Creations & Collaborations i've LOVED doing.

As well as creating my own illustrative content, I truly love collaborating with other brands and charities in the space. Thanks to widespread censorship of sexual health content, we all need to do what we can to spread these important messages, and collaboration is a powerful way to do that.

Cliterally FAQs

Right now, Cliterally The Best is just me, Evie. Every penny that comes in from the shop or from collaborations goes straight back into creating more content and resources for the community. I’m not currently paid for running CTB, and my day-to-day income comes from my work as a psychosexual and relationship therapist.

I believe in being transparent about how things work behind the scenes, and I’ll always update this if anything changes.

From time to time I have guest writers contribute articles, but these are unpaid and offered in exchange for product or exposure. My hope is to eventually secure funding so I can pay contributors properly, hire support and turn CTB into a sustainable business. For now, it’s a labour of love that I’m building piece by piece.

You can trust that the content on Cliterally The Best is accurate and credible because it’s grounded in real training and proper qualifications. I’m a qualified psychosexual and relationship therapist through COSRT, which is the most reputable governing body in the UK and recognised by the NHS. I’m also a trained sex educator through ACET.

When I bring in guest writers, they’re always qualified professionals too (and often far more experienced than me in their specific areas). I aim to include references for all written pieces so you can see exactly where the information comes from. If you ever spot a piece that’s missing one, please let me know and I’ll happily add it. There’s a lot of content for one person to manage, so the occasional thing can slip through.

My goal is always to provide clear, accurate, evidence-based information you can rely on.

Ah yes. In 2023, I was dragged into the war on sex education by the Tory government at the time.

You can read my statement and BBC interview here.

This is a really common question I get. Even though my illustrations and resources are colourful and injected with humour and cartoons, all of my content is created for adults. The style is simply there to make the information more accessible and less intimidating.

Everything I create is aimed at helping adults catch up on the sex education we should have received but didn’t. The bright visuals are just a way to make that learning feel welcoming rather than clinical or shame-filled.
